What does Single Estate mean?
Our AMATE coffee is a SINGLE ESTATE Coffee. Thus it bears a seal of approval which indicates that this is coffee of the highest quality. In the following, we are happy to give you some more details about why Single Estate is considered the most valued quality seal for coffee and why our AMATE Single Estate Coffee is so special.
What does Single Estate mean?
Single Estate means that the coffee comes from one community of coffee farmers, i.e. from one country estate, only. Since the coffee is provided by only one estate it is very pure and it is not mixed in contrast to Single Origin Coffee for instance (where the coffee from different growing regions is mixed).
What defines the high quality which characterizes the Single Estate Coffee is the purity of variety and the potential to trace the coffee back to its source. Essentially, this is what distinguishes this type of coffee clearly from all the other coffees available.
Our AMATE Coffee is very special among Single Estate Coffees because:
- …it is exclusively cultivated by us and it can be traced back to the individual plant the coffee grew on. We do know about and check every little detail. We bring the coffee from our ranch directly to you.
- …it is not only 100% pure and genuine Arabica but also 100% pure in terms of the year it was picked - so, a 100% pure vintage. This means it has a unique flavor that is distinctive to our ranch.
